Summer of 2020 has been hard on all of us. But I took to social distancing with the mindset to create new art and fashion in my own unique way. Like this shirt I'm wearing. I was able to take an old plain t-shirt and add flare with a simple handkerchief. Although I have a lot to learn, this is only the beginning, and so far I'm feeling lucky.
This mobile was recycled out of craft sticks, fashion magazine articles and tissue paper. The magazine articles were chosen specifically because of their statements in one of the articles actress Jameela Jamil talks about the "perfect body" and how girls are pressured to have thin bodies. I find this to be very true, and I hope to change this idea of a one "perfect body."
